ProvenanceA series of loose photos taken by the Service Cinématographique de l'Armée of the Vichy army in May 1942 in southern France near Grenoble and Avignon. Some views of everyday life including sports, exercises, training, as well images of important weaponry such as the machine-gun armed Panhard P 178, 75 mm motorized gun, and 4x4 Laffly cars. Although the original negatives may be kept by the E.C.P.A. in Paris, these are high quality and rare prints.
