ProvenancePrivate pre-war family album with particularly loving photographs of an unnamed couple's courtship, wedding and birth of children. Also contains portraits of other weddings, relatives and inlaws as well as holiday snapshots. A few photographs record the husband's early military service. Of particular note is the wife wearing his uniform. The album concludes with a haunting portrait of an apparently dead child (in coffin) and the grave of Luise Nussbaum (probably mother of the husband or wife). The photographer is most likely responsible also for the war albums A12596_2 and A12596_3.
