ProvenanceWide-ranging collection of official WW2 photographs by the US 82nd Airborne Division. Photographs document aspects of both the Normandy landings and the liberation of Holland. Of particular interest are a formation of Allied aircraft (B-26G Marauders?) 'on to drop the Boys', battle tanks on Dutch streets, bridges (including Arnhem?) and crashed Waco CG-4 military gliders. Numerous photographs of dead combatants, burials and German POWs. Also official portraits of General Eisenhower and General Ridgeway.
