ProvenancePersonal album entitled 'Meine KLV-Lagerzeit' by a young unnamed German woman. During the Second World War, tens of thousands of children were evacuated away from vulnerable cities to some 9,000 Kinderlandverschickung (KLV) countryside camps across the Reich. Album documents her years in the Black Forest with about 50 other girls and young women; participating in the daily flag raising ceremony, attending school at the camp (a converted alpine hotel), walking, berry picking and tending the camp vegetable garden as well as dancing and performing theatre shows. Also included are photographs of an outing to Strasbourg. Album concludes with photographs of her brothers or boyfriend in Hitler Youth (HJ) uniform.
